A few months ago if I mentioned the name Lana Del Rey - you might have been asking yourself “who da what?!?”. Thats definitely not the case these days, especially after Lana’s now highly scrutinized debut on SNL this year. Love her or hate her, the girl is making a name for herself. Fortunately, I can safely say that all the hype that’s been building around Lana’s debut album Born To Die was well worth it! The album is chalk full of haunting pop melodies in the vein of her breakout single “Videogames”. Its hard for me to pick a favorite song off the album, its THAT good. One of the many standout tracks for me is the lighter pop tune “Radio”. It oozes pop perfection with a hook that will have you humming along for days. Do yourself a HUGE favor and make sure to purchase Lana Del Rey’s album when it’s released on January 31st.
